• Equipped with two hydraulically operated flotation or anti roll fins.
• The unit is equipped with a mechanical arm, a bucket assembly for excavation capable of rotating 360 degrees hydraulically powered.
• The propulsion system includes twelve pushing jacks operated by a 5000 PSI hydraulic system and powered by a 200 H.P. Electric motor. The travel distance of the propulsion jacks is such that 5' lagging is readily installed. The total jacking is approximately 720 tons at 5000 PSI.
• The machine is equipped with an expansion ring for tunnel ribs which is self adjusting and centred automatically.
• The conveyor system consists of a 24" belt, with 25' of primary conveyor and 90' of trailing conveyors. The trailing conveyor is made of detachable and interchangeable sections, post supported and mounted on pipe skates.
• The conveyors are driven by two interchangeable drive heads each of which is powered by two hydraulic motors.
• The electrical motors are all 550 3 phase 60 cycle and there is a low voltage starter installed to facilitate starting the 200 H.P motors. We operated the whole unit from a Cat Generator Set rated at 394 KVA.
The original rotating cutting head is available but requires certain modifications to adapt to the existing M-148 Lovat machine.
